Local photographer John Morrison managed to assemble the majority of the Captains of the Parish as they exited the church after the Tynwald Ceremony but not all. They were photographed on the same staging as used to photograph the Members of the House of Keys and Legislative Council. For some reason the Speaker of the House of Keys, the President of Tynwald and the Clerk of Tynwald remained in the places they had occupied for the previous photograph and were photographed with the Captains.
