As usual the National Service of Remembrance took place on the Sunday nearest to Armistice Day. In 2019 this fell on Sunday 10th November. The National Service is always held at the National War Memorial which lies to the side of the processional path from St John’s Church. In this photograph the Captain of the Parish of German, Allen Corlett, pays his respect having just laid his wreath. Allen was sworn in as Captain in 2015 in succession to the late John Kennaugh.
