Remembrance Sunday, Onchan, 2021

It is customary that His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor attends the Remembrance Service at his local village, Onchan, for the first year of his tenure of office. In the following years he attends other services as well as always attending the service in the afternoon at the National War Memorial at St Johns. He is pictured here just prior to taking the salute as the parade made its way to St Peter’s Church for the service prior to returning to the war memorial for the two minutes silence and the laying of wreaths. Pictured are (left to right) George Waft who became the President of the Royal British Legion (Onchan Branch) in September in succession to the late Hector Duff.
