World War Two Oral History Project
Mon, 13 Feb 2006
A major new project is underway this month to record the memories of people who were on the Island during the Second World War. A team of trained interviewers is starting to conduct oral history interviews with as many people as possible who were either stationed here during the war, or who lived here. Some may have worked in the internment camps, or had parents who ran boarding houses where soldiers or internees were billeted. Others may remember being in the Home Guard or being a member of the WRENS. The Manx Heritage Foundation is keen to hear from anyone who might have memories to record or who might know someone else who has. Please contact Charles Guard on 624093, or by email at heritage@redlyon.com if you know of anyone who would be willing to be interviewed.School celebrated in new Manx film
