Culture & Arts - On Your Doorstep
Fri, 14 Feb 2020
There is a wonderful opportunity to come together to show off and find out about what is going on in the culture and arts in the Isle of Man, at the On Your Doorstep weekend, 14th and 15th March 2020.
Arts and culture will be the major themes at this year’s On Your Doorstep weekend, where the public can discover new activities in their locality and meet practitioners and providers who specialise in the arts and in Manx culture.
The Isle of Man Arts Council and Culture Vannin are joining forces to provide 4 ‘hubs’ over the weekend in the north, south, east and west, where the public can drop in during the day and find out about joining a local arts or cultural society, meet like-minded people, discover a festival or entertainment venue, learn Manx or get involved with an artistic hobby they’d never thought of before! For societies and event organisers, it will be an opportunity to recruit new members of all ages and to reach a wider audience. The hubs will be in Ramsey, Peel and Castletown from 11am-4pm on Saturday 14th March and in Douglas on Sunday 15th March.
We would be delighted if your society could participate at one of our hubs. You can do so in the following ways:
