Robert Radcliffe began his working life as an apprentice setter at the Ramsey Courier newspaper based on Parliament Street. He grew to enjoy the excitement of the work, the characters employed there, and community into which the paper fitted in those days. One of the many interesting people he met in this role was the Manx dialect poet, Kathleen Faragher, who he visited at her home on Windsor Mount in order to deliver copy for her proof reading before her poems were published in the newspaper. His memories of Faragher and his insights into the publishing of her work in both the newspaper and in her books sheds new light on this important Manx writer.
