Culture Vannin has been collecting photographs of tattoos of the Three Legs of Man. At a pre-Christmas get-together in 2008, by courtesy of the Rover's Return pub in Douglas, several willing volunteers came along to have their works of art photographed, and to tell us something about their reasons for having a Manx tattoo. Some of those photographs appear in this section with the initials of the owners. The images were taken by the photographer, John Hall. Click on the main image to view it full screen.
I'd wanted to have a tattoo for a long time and this one was done in June of 2007. It was done at Manx Tattoos in Wellington Street in Douglas. I had it done to show where I come from and because I'm proud to be Manx. Most people admire it and I'm thinking of having another one done in the form of a Manx cross.
