The Department of Transport carried out a major road improvement scheme in the Braddan Bridge area in summer 2006. A wall at the junction with Saddle Road was demolished and rebuilt in a way that has improved visibility for motorists. In particular, these improvements meant that anyone emerging from Saddle Road would no longer have to contend with a ‘blind spot’ when looking back towards Douglas.
