taking our culture forward

A talk by Bob Carswell RBV about Dorothy Wordsworth's visit to the Isle of Man in 1828.

During her extended visit the Island, the sister of William Wordsworth kept detailed journals of the people, places, experiences and opinions she encountered on her extensive travels all over the Isle of Man.
They offer a fascinating insight into life in the Island's towns and villages in the early 1800s.
