Tribute to Nigel Crowe RBV
Wed, 09 Aug 2023
Culture Vannin is very sorry to hear of the passing of Nigel Crowe RBV. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and close friends.
Whilst the Isle of Man has lost a great friend and scholar, his is an enduring legacy of research, passion, generosity, and great humour. He will be sorely missed.
Nigel was honoured by the RBV award in 2022, particularly in recognition of his work on genealogy, land records and historical landscape. The panel of assessors singled out his long involvement with the Isle of Man Family History Society, the Isle of Man Natural History and Antiquarian Society, and the Manx Music Festival.
More about Nigel's incredible contribution to Manx Studies can be found here.
