Manx Today: A parent's view

Why do parents send their children to a school that teaches in Manx Gaelic?
What do they hope their children will gain from it?
How do they find themselves connecting with the wider language community?

… The answers are more diverse than you might think.

Manx is a language revitalisation success story celebration all over the world.
At the centre of this modern flourishing of the Isle of Man's Gaelic language is its place within the education system and, in particular, the Manx language medium school, the Bunscoill Ghaelgagh.
This film speaks to parents of children currently in the Bunscoill Ghaelgagh, as well as with some of the important figures behind the school's continued success today.
