A short interview with Kate Dowman on the release of her album of Manx songs, 'Whispering Tides.'
The album consists of 14 songs from the Isle of Man and the recording of them represents a life goal for Kate i npresenting these songs, predominently in Manx Gaelic, in a way not heard before in connection to Manx music. The sound of the album has been described as "sparkling and floating like the mist on the hills and the fire of the sea God Manannan."
Culture Vannin has played a role in the project of creating this recording, both through the grant given for its recording, and in the advice and help given in interpreting the songs and its language.
