Bandit & Bishop: McCuil & Maughold - a talk by Dr Mike Hoy

A talk about one of the most famous of all saints in the Isle of Man; Maughold.

From his days as a bandit in Ulster through to his canonisation and beyond into his legacy today, Dr Mike Hoy looks to the original sources and investigates what we can learn of this elusive character of Manx and Irish history.

The talk by Dr. Michael Hoy of Liverpool University was delivered at Maughold on 1 August 2020 as a part of the St. Maughold's Day celebrations organised by Kirk Maughold.
