taking our culture forward

Dr Breesha Maddrell delivers a talk about Mona Douglas and her influence on and friendship with various people outside of the Island, including composers, artists and academics.
The talk acknowledges the internationalist view of folklore and culture that is revealed in Mona’s writings, as well as the importance she places on creativity.

The talk represents work in progress, and Breesha is happy to hear from anyone who knows more about Mona Douglas within Irish, Welsh and English archives in particular.
