Alison Jones BA (Hons) ACA is Chartered Accountant, with ongoing roles as an executive and non-executive Company Director and Trustee. She joined Culture Vannin as Treasurer in 2013.
Alison studied Communication Studies at Sheffield Hallam University and then trained as a Chartered Accountant with Fraser and Russell, Chartered Accountants, London. She moved to the Isle of Man in 1991 and joined Price Waterhouse, with whom she qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Alison is a shareholder and director of Hanover Resources Limited, Hanover Solutions Limited and Cains Accounting Services Limited. She holds non-executive directorships with LHR Insurance Services Limited (formerly BAA Insurance Services Limited) and Betsy (CXV) Limited and trustee roles with a small number of family trusts.
Alison undertakes a number of voluntary roles within her local St Johns and Patrick Community, including teaching gardening within St Johns School and as an Assistant leader for St Johns brownies. In addition she is a Director of the charitable company which runs Patrick Old Schoolrooms on an on-going basis and which is seeking to renovate it over the coming years, both to ensure it can continue to provide a church hall and community centre for Patrick Village, but also to develop a venue for a permanent exhibition of Knockaloe Camp.
